The Young Republicans of Omaha chapter of the Federation is a vibrant group which plays an integral role in providing the grass roots support in the Omaha area for federal, state, and local Republican candidates. The Young Republicans of Omaha also serve the very important role of providing a social outlet for Republicans under the age of 40 to network and make known their interest in politics.
The goal of our group is to gather and keep informed as many Omaha Young Republicans as possible. We encourage you to join even if you do not have the time or ability to attend monthly meetings or volunteer opportunities.
Although Nebraska enjoys Republican leadership from our Governor, three Congressman, a United States Senator, all state constitutional offices, and numerous legislative and local offices, we must remain diligent to preserve the offices we have and earn the offices we do not. This work starts with your involvement in the Young Republicans. Fill out the Membership Form if you interested in joining the Young Republicans of Omaha.
Omaha YR's were at the Veteran's Day Parade in Bellevue Nebraska on Saturday, Nov. 5th. We saw Nebraska State Senator Scott Price, Congressman Lee Terry and NE Legislature candidate Richard Carter at the parade. It was a great chance to celebrate the military services and the sacrifices they've made for us.
The Houston Chronicle reports on the NE 2nd District Campaign. The Omaha YR's have been walking in Sarpy County for Congressman Lee Terry over the past 4 weeks.
The iPad technology has helped us reach a lot of voters, more efficiently than the older paper walkbooks. Andrew Northwall, a fellow YR and partner in Northstar Campaign Systems, created the system that helped us more effectively walk the neighborhoods.
The Omaha YR's enjoyed perfect weather walking for Lee Terry in Springfield & Gretna on Saturday, October 15th. The YR's Brandon Petersen, Matt Pinkerton, Vernon J, Jim Gerner & Travis Keirderling reached a lot of voters for the upcoming 2012 election. We're off to a good start!
The Omaha YR's used iPads and the latest technology from Northstar Campaign Systems during the walking. A fellow YR, Andrew Northwall, developed a wide array of leading edge campaign and fundraising systems. On Saturday, we used Northstar's digital walk books on iPads, which were significantly easier to use than older paper walk books. The iPads helps us get through neighborhoods more efficiently and communicate with other walkers more easily.
